Lahore: In a tragic incident, popular TikToker Ayat Maryam was allegedly murdered by her husband, Saad, after a domestic disagreement escalated into violence. The incident took place in the Nawab Town area of the city, where Ayat was reportedly strangled to death.
Superintendent of Police Dr. Ghayur Ahmad Khan confirmed that Nawab Town police acted swiftly, utilizing modern investigative tools and techniques to apprehend the suspect within 24 hours of the crime.
Initial police findings indicate that Ayat Maryam and her husband had a history of frequent arguments. A formal case has been registered against Saad, who is now in the custody of the investigation department for further questioning.
Authorities stated that while the primary cause appears to be a domestic altercation, more information — including the exact motive — is expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
