Celebrity Hairstylist Jenn Lagron Hit by Alleged Drunk Driver, Sustains Serious Injuries

Celebrity hairstylist Jenn Lagron has sustained serious injuries after being hit by an alleged drunk driver while walking along Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Los Angeles on Sunday. The tragic incident left Lagron with a fractured neck vertebra and a severely damaged arm—injuries that threaten her career as a top Hollywood hair artist.

Jenn Lagron, known for styling stars like Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner, Chrissy Teigen, Ariana Madix, and Ellie Goulding, underwent surgery on Monday to treat her injuries. According to a GoFundMe page set up by her close friend Brandon Pietsch, the procedures were successful, but her recovery journey is expected to be long and challenging.

Pietsch revealed that the injury has impacted “the very arm she relies on for her career as a hairstylist,” and added, “While we are endlessly grateful that Jenn survived, her road to recovery will be long and incredibly difficult. Doctors anticipate at least a year of rehabilitation ahead, during which she will be unable to work or support herself.”

The damage to her arm was so extensive that doctors had to perform nerve replacement surgery using nerves from her leg. She has now begun physical therapy and will require a wheelchair for part of her recovery process.

The beauty community and fans have rallied around Lagron, raising over $50,000 to help cover medical expenses, therapy, rent, and living costs. “Jenn has always been a light in the lives of everyone around her full of heart, creativity, and kindness. Now she needs our help more than ever,” reads the fundraiser description.

Kristin Juszczyk, wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk and a regular client, expressed her heartbreak on Instagram: “My girl @jennlagron was hit by a drunk driver last night. Sick to my stomach. She is the most amazing person and [an] incredibly talented hair artist.”

Lagron’s work has graced red carpets and magazine covers, including Esquire and Harper’s Bazaar. Just this February, she styled Kristin Juszczyk during Super Bowl week and Ellie Goulding for the same weekend, before heading to the Grammy Awards to work with Collie Buddz.
