Actor and model Saheefa Jabbar Khattak has publicly criticized fellow Pakistani celebrities for what she called their “scripted” and “PR-driven” responses to the recent India-Pakistan tensions.
Taking to Instagram, Saheefa called out stars for staying silent during critical moments and only speaking up when it was safe or beneficial for their image. She accused them of waiting until the worst had passed to post messages of solidarity, branding their posts as “scripted cleanup.”

“Being a celebrity comes with weight, a responsibility to use your voice wisely,” she wrote. “But what’s heartbreaking is how many of our biggest names only speak when it’s convenient, when it won’t cost them anything.”
She didn’t hold back, pointing out that some celebrities waited for destruction and loss before posting patriotic messages. “Our biggest celebrities waited until the worst had happened, until our mosques were destroyed, our children killed, before you decided it was ‘safe’ to post ‘Pakistan zindabad’. It wasn’t solidarity. It was cleanup. It was scripted.”
Khattak continued by calling out what she sees as a trend in the industry. “They wait. They watch. They measure the risks. And when they finally do speak, it’s so carefully curated, so polished, that it feels more like damage control than truth.”
Saheefa Jabbar Khattak wrapped up her thoughts by questioning the sincerity of those who claim to be the “voice of the people”: “You failed to stand tall when it mattered, and no filtered story or last-minute post can fix that.”
