Doubting patriotism of artists is work of extremists like BJP: Faaiza Hasan

Famous actress Faaiza Hasan has termed the actions of those targeting artists with baseless criticism in the context of Pakistan-India tensions as regrettable and harmful.
In a video message on Instagram, Faiza Hasan stated that in recent days, showbiz stars have been faced with undue criticism, and some members of our own community are also part of this.
The actress said that the patriotism of artists is beyond any doubt or suspicion, just like that of ordinary citizens. She emphasised that every artist has immense love for their country and plays a significant role in the national economy, whether through tax payments or representing Pakistan on an international level.
The actress further stated that if any actor works abroad, it is a matter of their professional obligation or personal choice. It is not appropriate to question their patriotism in this regard.
Faiza Hassan said that during the recent period of tension, many artists expressed their love for the homeland on social media, but some also chose to remain silent. Both of these attitudes are respectable.
