Asif Raza Mir Breaks Silence on Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir Divorce

Veteran Pakistani actor and producer Asif Raza Mir, whose career spans over five decades, recently appeared on Maliha Rehman’s show, where he shared insights about working with his former daughter-in-law, Sajal Aly, and how his family handles public scrutiny in the age of social media after Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir’s divorce.

Asif Raza Mir revealed that he is currently working alongside Sajal in the drama Main Manto Nahin Hoon. While their casting raised eyebrows due to their past family connection, he explained that both he and Sajal chose to approach the situation with maturity and professionalism. “It was an opportunity for growth—for both of us,” he said.

Asif plays the role of Sajal’s father in the drama and praised her for showing strength by taking on the project with him. He emphasized that there’s no benefit in holding onto the past, saying, “There’s no use crying over spilled milk.”

He also addressed the recent buzz surrounding viral videos from an event where Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly, who were previously married, were seen together. Asif Raza Mir stated that his family is emotionally mature and not affected by such content.

Drawing from his decades of experience in the entertainment industry, he acknowledged that public discussion around past relationships is inevitable but stressed the importance of moving forward.

“Relationships are formed and sometimes they break due to circumstances,” he noted. “The key is to not dwell on the past but to move ahead—and that’s what we’ve all done.”

Asif Raza Mir’s sons, Ahad Raza Mir and Adnan Raza Mir, are also making their mark in the entertainment world, continuing the family’s legacy in the industry.
