Son of Sardaar Actor Mukul Dev Passes Away at 54

Veteran actor Mukul Dev has passed away at the age of 54 after a brief illness. He had been admitted to the ICU in critical condition and sadly could not recover. His death was confirmed by fellow actor Vindu Dara Singh.

Mukul Dev, known for his roles in films like Son of Sardar, had been living a quiet life in recent years. Vindu Dara Singh, who shared the screen with Mukul, told India Today that Mukul became increasingly reclusive after the passing of his parents. “He rarely stepped out or stayed in touch. His health declined over the past few days. It’s heartbreaking,” Vindu said.

Expressing deep sorrow, Vindu added, “He was a kind-hearted man. It hurts to know he will never see himself on the big screen again. My condolences to Rahul Dev and all who loved Mukul.”

Actress Deepshikha Nagpal, a close friend of the late actor, also paid tribute. Sharing an old photo with Mukul on Instagram, she expressed shock and grief. “Mukul never talked about his health. We had a WhatsApp group with friends, and I had no idea he was suffering. I’ve been calling his number since morning, hoping somehow he’ll answer,” she said, fighting back tears.

Mukul Dev was admired for his calm nature and strong screen presence. He began his career in the 1990s and played various roles in Bollywood films and television shows. Despite stepping back from the limelight in recent years, he remained a respected figure in the industry.

He is survived by his brother, actor Rahul Dev, who has yet to make a public statement. The film industry and fans alike are mourning the loss of a talented actor whose gentle soul and memorable performances will not be forgotten.
