Squid Game Season 3 Trailer Reveals Fierce New Life-or-Death Games: Watch

The full trailer for Squid Game Season 3 of Netflix was unveiled at Netflix’s Tudum fan event.

The trailer follows protagonist Gi-hun (Player 456), played by Lee Jung-jae, as he returns to the deadly games after the unsuccessful rebellion in season two. It highlights the increased dangers he faces, including a dramatic confrontation with the game’s mysterious organizers, where Gi-hun demands, “Why didn’t you kill me? Why did you let me live?”

New challenges are introduced in the trailer, such as a disorienting maze and a deadly jump rope game, leading to a tense showdown with the enigmatic Front Man, portrayed by Lee Byung-hun.

Scheduled to premiere on June 27, 2025, on Netflix, the third season will conclude creator Hwang Dong-hyuk’s story. While the exact episode count is unconfirmed, reports indicate there will be six episodes. The previous season ended on a cliffhanger with Gi-hun’s failed attempt to end the games, thwarted by the Front Man—revealed as Player 001—who executed Gi-hun’s close friend, Player 290 Park Jung-bae, as a warning.

New visuals tease two fresh games: a giant gumball machine dispensing red and blue balls for an X and O voting game and a revamped version of Red Light, Green Light. Gi-hun’s hope may depend on an external mission to infiltrate the game’s headquarters.

Returning cast members to the Squid Game Season 3 include the Front Man, detective Hwang Jun-ho, and players Myung-gi (Player 333), Dae-ho (Player 388), Hyun-ju (Player 120), Yong-sik (Player 007), Geum-ja (Player 149), Jun-hee (Player 222), Min-su (Player 125), Nam-gyu (Player 124), as well as the pink guard No-eul. Produced by Firstman Studio with Hwang Dong-hyuk and Kim Ji-yeon as executive producers, this season wraps up the main Squid Game narrative, though spin-offs like Squid Game: The Challenge and Squid Game: Unleashed hint at future expansions.
