ISLAMABAD – New details have emerged about the heartbreaking final moments of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousuf, who was shot dead outside her home in the G-13 sector of Islamabad. The incident took place on June 4, 2025, and has shocked people across the country.
The accused, 22-year-old Umar Hayat, also known by his nickname “Kaka”, was arrested by Islamabad Police. He allegedly murdered Sana after she repeatedly refused to befriend him.
Final Conversation Caught on CCTV
According to early police reports and eyewitness accounts, Sana tried to calm Umar before the shooting. She told him, “You are getting angry, leave this place, go away.” This chilling moment was caught on CCTV footage.
Despite Sana’s attempts to defuse the situation, Umar didn’t back down. Moments later, two gunshots were heard. Sana was shot twice and died on the spot. The suspect fled the scene immediately.
The Crime and Arrest
Umar Hayat had reportedly been harassing Sana for some time. When she refused to accept his advances, he became violent. On the day of the incident, he allegedly forced his way into Sana’s home and shot her.
Her body was taken to PIMS Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death. A postmortem was carried out before the body was handed over to her family.
The Islamabad Police arrested Umar within 20 hours. They also recovered the murder weapon. Law enforcement officials said they are treating the case as a priority.

The murder of Sana Yousuf has caused public outrage, especially on social media where the hashtag #JusticeForSanaYousuf is trending.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the quick work of the police. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “Well done Islamabad Police. Sana Yousuf murder case traced, accused arrested, and weapon recovered within 20 hours.”
People from all walks of life have demanded strict punishment for the accused and stronger laws to protect women, especially public figures and influencers.
