TikTokers leak their own videos for fame: Areeka Haq on viral video scandals

Pakistani TikToker and model Areeka Haq has made bold statements regarding the recent wave of leaked explicit videos involving social media influencers. In a recent interview, Areeka claimed that some TikTokers intentionally leak their own private content to gain popularity and media attention.

While addressing this sensitive issue, Areeka said that the trend of making couple videos once brought many influencers into the spotlight. However, as that trend faded, some individuals began using shocking tactics to stay relevant — including leaking their own inappropriate videos.

“The goal is fame. That’s all they care about,” Areeka stated. “These leaks are not always accidents. Some of them are planned for views and publicity.”

Not All Are Victims, She Says

Areeka explained that she used to think all the girls whose videos went viral were victims. But after witnessing repeated patterns and similar outcomes, she now believes some of these so-called victims might actually be behind the leaks.

“At first, I felt sorry for them. But now, it looks like some are doing it on purpose,” she added.

Areeka Haq Clears Her Own Name

The model also made it clear that she has never made videos with any male partners, nor has she ever sought fame through controversial means.

“I’ve always stayed away from this kind of drama. I focus on my work and don’t believe in shortcuts to success,” she said.
