Waqar Nawaz, Brother of Yasir and Danish Nawaz, Passes Away

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Waqar Nawaz, the brother of well-known actors and directors Yasir Nawaz and Danish Nawaz, passed away. Yasir Nawaz confirmed the sad news on his Instagram stories early that morning.

Yasir Nawaz, who is also a famous actor and husband to popular host Nida Yasir, shared the heartbreaking announcement but chose not to reveal many details about Waqar’s death. He asked his followers to keep Waqar in their prayers and informed them about the funeral arrangements.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. With deep sorrow, we share that our beloved and caring brother Waqar Nawaz has passed away,” Yasir wrote. He prayed for Waqar’s forgiveness and peace in the hereafter, saying, “May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and give patience and strength to his family – Ameen.”

The funeral prayer (Janazah) will be held today, June 24, after Zuhr prayers at 1:30 PM sharp. It will take place at Rehmania Masjid, located on Tariq Road, Karachi.

Yasir Nawaz kindly requested everyone to remember Waqar Nawaz in their duas, saying, “We kindly request you to remember him in your duas. Ameen.”

Waqar Nawaz was part of the famous Nawaz family, which includes four brothers: Yasir, Danish, Waqar, and Dr. Faraz, along with their sister, Anzalna. Their father, Fareed Nawaz Baloch, was a veteran TV actor known for his long and respected career in the entertainment industry.

Yasir Nawaz, known for his contributions to Pakistani dramas and films such as Wrong No., Dil Mom Ka Diya, and Chakkar, has always emphasized the importance of family. His public tribute reflects the deep bond he shared with his late brother.
