Humaira Asghar Death: Sindh Culture Minister Takes Notice, Family Denies to Accept Body
KARACHI – Sindh Culture Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah has taken serious notice of the mysterious death of actress Humaira Asghar, whose decomposed body was found inside her Karachi apartment.
According to the police, the body, found in an advanced state of decomposition, is estimated to be around 20 days old.
According to the SSP, Humaira’s mobile phone was recovered from the apartment, with the SIM card registered in her name. The apartment has been sealed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have obtained the call data records (CDR), which are expected to assist in establishing the timeline of Humaira’s last communications and help estimate the time of death.
No family members or close acquaintances have come forward so far, adding to the mystery surrounding the case.
Neighbours informed police that Humaira had been living alone since 2018 and was active in the showbiz industry. They noted that she often stayed away for extended periods due to work and rarely received visitors.
Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah has requested a detailed report from DIG South regarding the incident.
The crime scene unit has collected forensic evidence from the apartment, and the body has been moved to a hospital for legal procedures.
