‘It Was Pre-Planned Murder:’ Humaira Asghar’s Brother Raises Serious Questions

The tragic and shocking death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar has left the nation in mourning, with widespread calls for a transparent and thorough investigation.

Many Pakistani celebrities have spoken out, joining the public in demanding justice. Meanwhile, Humaira’s family continues to speak to digital media platforms in an effort to uncover the truth behind her untimely demise.

Recently, Humaira Asghar’s brother, Naveed Asghar, shared his suspicions in an interview with Lahore-based YouTuber Ali Hamza. He urged authorities to carry out a detailed investigation into multiple aspects of the case, including the role of her landlord, her recent work associates, and her travel history.

“In my opinion, it should be properly investigated. The landlord’s data should be collected, his CDR should be obtained, and it should be investigated how long he has been residing in Karachi and whether he has any links in Lahore as well,” Naveed stated.

Sharing information he received from investigators, Naveed added, “Investigation officers have informed me that the back door was open when they entered. The terrace was continuously opened—that’s why the smell didn’t spread in the front area. It was a pre-planned murder. They did it with proper planning.”

Naveed further emphasized the need to look into her travel records. “I also want to request the authorities to investigate her travel history—whether she used to travel alone or with anyone—because we are 90% sure that it was a murder,” he said.

He also questioned the lack of cooperation from Humaira’s colleagues on her final projects. “I don’t know why her colleagues aren’t giving proper information. Are they afraid of someone? They should cooperate in this regard if they are clear regarding everything. It should be checked properly,” Naveed added.

As calls for justice grow louder, Humaira Asghar’s family continues to push for accountability and answers, demanding that all angles be explored in the investigation.
