Lahore, Monday, September 1, 2025 – Famous Pakistani stage and television comedian Anwar Ali has passed away after battling multiple health issues for several months. His family confirmed the sad news, saying that he could not survive despite medical treatment.

Health Struggles Before Death

Family sources shared that Anwar Ali was admitted to a private hospital in Lahore on Sunday when his condition became critical. He was suffering from serious lung and kidney problems. Doctors tried to stabilize him, but his health kept declining, and he breathed his last on Monday.

Earlier Hospitalisation and Prayers

This was not the first time the veteran actor was hospitalised. A few weeks ago, he was admitted due to complications from paralysis and a heart condition. At that time, doctors declared him stable after treatment. His son later revealed that Anwar Ali had been unwell for several months and his health worsened quickly in recent weeks.

On August 8, well-known comedian Nasir Chinyoti requested fans to pray for Anwar Ali’s recovery. He wrote on his social media, “We kindly request all friends to pray for his speedy recovery and good health. May Allah grant him strength. Ameen.” Sadly, the prayers could not stop the inevitable.
