Who is Fauzia Zaki? Little V-logger Shiraz Shares the Story of Hope, Change

Our village once struggled with a broken school where children did not even have a safe place to learn. Everything changed when two overseas Pakistanis, Fauzia Zaki and her niece Zehra Zaidi, stepped forward. To honor their father and maternal grandfather, Capt. Mohammed Zaki, they decided not just to repair the old building but to build a brand-new school, which is now known as Zaki Academy.

Today, children study in a safe and modern environment. Classrooms are properly arranged, and students who once came barefoot now attend school in uniform with dignity and pride. Even Shahbaz Zaki, the grandson of Capt. Zaki, teaches technology online all the way from the United States, bringing digital education directly to the village children.

The contribution of the Zaki family has gone far beyond education. They built a dam to secure water for the community, installed pumps to provide clean drinking water, added solar panels for reliable electricity, and extended essential healthcare support by supplying medicines and even an ambulance. Their efforts transformed the lives of many, especially during times of natural disasters such as floods, when their timely help supported the entire community.

“We are sincerely grateful to Fauzia Zaki for building a wonderful school in our village, providing an ambulance, helping us during the flood, and doing so much more for the well-being of our community,” says Taqi Ghursavi, father of Shiraz.

What began as a tribute to Capt. Mohammed Zaki has now become a lasting legacy. His dream of serving and uplifting the people of this land lives on through his children and grandchildren, who have turned hope into reality for an entire generation.
