Dua Malik Opens Up About Harassment Attempt Involving Influential Figure

Pakistani actress and television host Dua Malik has revealed that she once faced a harassment attempt in her career, involving a prominent figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Speaking during a recent podcast, Malik shared insights about her personal life and professional experiences. She explained that one of the reasons behind her move to the United States was to keep her children away from the showbiz world, as she does not want them to become part of the industry.

She also mentioned that, although she never taught her daughter to play the piano, the child learned it on her own. This made Malik realize that children naturally pursue their passions without guidance when they are truly interested.

Discussing harassment in the industry, Malik said she rarely encountered such situations and had not thought much about them initially. She emphasized that every individual has a different personality — some girls may be very beautiful but might lack the confidence to say “no.” In contrast, she and her sister, actress Humaima Malik, always responded firmly and directly to inappropriate advances. Malik noted that while she is somewhat timid, Humaima’s bravery helped them avoid such situations more often.

However, Malik admitted that she did experience a harassment attempt once, which had a significant impact on her career. She declined to disclose the identity of the person involved, stating that he is a very influential figure in Pakistan.

She added that, although she currently resides in the United States, her family remains in Pakistan, and she does not want them to face any consequences because of her revelations.
