Filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been temporarily stopped after lead star Tom Holland was injured on set.
The 29-year-old actor, who is currently working on his fourth Spider-Man film, was rushed to hospital on Friday, September 19, 2025, after a dangerous stunt went wrong. Reports say he suffered a mild concussion when he hit his head on the ground.
An ambulance was called to Leavesden Studios in Watford at 10:30 am, where filming was taking place. Emergency staff treated Holland and later transported him to hospital for further care.
Thankfully, no one else was injured in the accident. Insiders revealed that Sony executives will meet on Monday to discuss changes to the filming schedule.
Despite the scare, Tom was spotted the very next evening at a charity dinner in Mayfair. He was joined by his fiancée and Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, as well as his father, comedian Dominic Holland.
Production for Brand New Day began in Glasgow last month and was set to continue with action-heavy scenes. The movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
This incident marks a short pause in shooting, but fans are relieved that Holland’s injury is not serious. He is expected to take a break from filming for a few days before returning to set.
