Kanwal Farooq Clears the Air About Her Relationship with Saif Ali Khan From Tamasha 4

Tamasha season 4 contestant Kanwal Farooq has finally spoken about her much-talked-about friendship with fellow contestant Saif Ali Khan. Kanwal became one of the most popular faces of the ARY Digital reality show this year, staying inside the house for 61 days and winning a large fan following with her strong personality and confident attitude.

Kanwal already enjoyed a strong social media presence even before the show. She now has over 1.2 million followers on TikTok and more than 184,000 followers on Instagram, making her one of the most followed contestants of the season. She is also preparing for her upcoming TV drama projects.

Recently, Kanwal appeared on the Sunday Yaps podcast hosted by Bushra from Sunday Times. During the conversation, she opened up about how her friendship with Saif Ali Khan began.

Kanwal shared that they first met at the airport when they were leaving for the reality show. They checked in together and later got rooms near each other in the house. She explained that they connected because they both believed in staying positive, focusing on their goals and not getting involved in others’ matters inside the house.

Talking about the constant “shipping” by fans, Kanwal said she has no issue if viewers see chemistry between them. She clarified that they were simply behaving as contestants and friends, and added, “Two people of opposite genders can definitely be friends.”

Kanwal also addressed their fight on the show, which brought her criticism online. She admitted she apologized to her fans but said the misunderstanding was not one-sided. She believes the full situation was not shown on camera and both she and Saif shared responsibility for it.

Calling the argument a result of “ego clash,” Kanwal said the fight hurt her but also made their friendship stronger. She explained that disagreements are normal between people, whether friends, siblings or even couples. In the end, she emphasized that the bond grew more mature and respectful after that incident.
