Amid a wave of misleading reports claiming that veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra had passed away, his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol have firmly denied the rumours, confirming that the legendary star is alive and recovering.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), actress and politician Hema Malini expressed disappointment over the spread of false information, writing, “How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering?”

Meanwhile, Esha Deol issued a statement on Instagram around 9:15 IST on November 11 (Tuesday), reassuring fans that her father’s condition is stable. She wrote, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”

Dharmendra was recently admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to health concerns. After reports surfaced that he had been placed on a ventilator, fans began expressing worry online.

Earlier, Hema Malini had also shared an update, saying, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”

Despite viral false news about his death spreading overnight, Dharmendra’s family has confirmed that he is under medical observation and doing better. His sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, have been visiting him at the hospital, while fans continue to send prayers for his quick recovery.
