Priyanka Chopra gives fans a look behind the scenes at ‘Varanasi’ launch

Priyanka Chopra, who is returning to Indian films with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, recently attended the grand title and teaser launch event in Hyderabad.

The global actress shared a video giving fans a glimpse of the event. On Monday, the 43-year-old posted a video on Instagram showing how she got ready for the grand launch. She captioned it, “Varanasi launch from my eyes.”

In the video, Priyanka can be seen practicing her Telugu lines, making notes for her speech, and preparing with her team while wearing a face mask. She admitted, “it’s more difficult to speak Telugu in front of a live audience than in a movie.”

The clip also showed the Heads Of State star rehearsing her stage entry with SS Rajamouli and sharing laughs with Mahesh Babu just before going on stage.

Speaking to the audience, she said, “I am so happy to be back, making this movie in my beloved India.” After her speech, she greeted Namrata Shirodkar and Sitara with warm hugs before taking her seat to watch the teaser.

During the event, Priyanka mentioned that although Prithviraj Sukumaran looks scary as the villain in the movie, he is quite different in real life. She also appreciated Mahesh Babu and his family for their hospitality in Hyderabad and praised SS Rajamouli as a gifted filmmaker who has made Indian movies known globally.
