Dr. Nabiha Sparks Controversy, Tells Pakistani Women to Strive for Nora Fatehi’s Body
Social media influencer and TV analyst Dr. Nabiha has stirred widespread outrage following her comments on a recent podcast, where she suggested that Pakistani women should aspire to have a figure like Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi.
She argued that if men are attracted to physically appealing women, it is their “right” and controversially blamed Pakistani wives for their husbands’ wandering eyes. Dr. Nabiha claimed that “many Pakistani women gain weight after marriage, leading to a lack of physical attraction for their husbands” and asserted, “A woman is created for beauty. If she doesn’t make her body beautiful, then she is completely ruined.”
Addressing actress Fiza Ali, Dr. Nabiha further stated that neither Nora Fatehi nor a husband is at fault if a man admires Nora, as “we don’t get that body here,” advising women to “make yourselves look that way so people look at you.”
The remarks have drawn sharp backlash on social media, with users criticizing her stance as “misogynistic,” “absurd,” and “body-shaming.” One user commented, “Give wives the amount of money Nora Fatehi spends on herself, and they’ll look the same. Our women manage the home, children, jobs, and in-laws, yet they still try to take care of themselves.” Another user highlighted the double standard, questioning why similar scrutiny is not applied to men’s appearance.
Dr. Nabiha’s controversial comments came during a discussion initiated by Fiza Ali, who had previously commented on the body shapes of Bollywood actresses like Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi, suggesting they undergo cosmetic enhancements that attract male attention.
As a prominent TV personality, Dr. Nabiha’s remarks have once again ignited debates on body image, women’s rights, and societal expectations, drawing criticism from activists and the general public alike.
