Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s series Two Much With Kajol & Twinkle may not be dominating streaming charts, yet it has managed to stay in the spotlight for entirely different reasons.

Though its viewership figures remain moderate, the show’s influence has shifted in an unexpected direction. What began as casual celebrity conversation has evolved into a reminder of how quickly off-the-cuff remarks on a couch can escalate into national discussions, forcing stars to clarify not their performances but their humour.

At the centre of the controversy is the recurring segment This Side That Side. The format previously stirred heavy online debate during an episode featuring Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor, where the group weighed in on emotional versus physical infidelity. Kajol, Twinkle, and Karan insisted emotional betrayal felt more severe, while Janhvi disagreed. Their playful remarks and generational teasing, however, struck the wrong chord with several viewers.

Twinkle added a caveat they now feel should have been stated earlier: nothing said within that segment is meant to be taken seriously.
