Sonakshi Sinha’s relationship revelation surprises fans

Sonakshi Sinha recently surprised her fans by talking about a difficult period in her relationship with Zaheer Iqbal. She revealed that they experienced a “three-year itch” long before they became husband and wife.

The couple, who married in 2024 after dating for seven years, are known for their easy chemistry and playful social media posts. But the 38-year-old actress said their smooth public image hid a brief but challenging time.

Speaking on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, the Dabangg star said that around the third year of dating, things suddenly became tense. “We just wanted to pull each other’s hair out,” she admitted. They argued frequently and found it hard to understand each other’s point of view, making it feel like nothing was working.

Instead of letting their relationship fall apart, Zaheer suggested couples therapy. He wanted their relationship to work “no matter what,” and Sonakshi agreed. They approached the therapy with an open mind.

What surprised Sonakshi was how quickly things improved. She said just two sessions were enough to reset their bond. The therapy helped them understand each other’s communication styles and avoid taking things personally. “These small small things… it just helped us understand each other so much better,” she explained.

Now, past their first wedding anniversary, the couple often describes themselves as happier than ever.
