Krystle D’Souza speaks out on Kareena Kapoor Comparison

Krystle D’Souza is currently trending for her song Shararat from Dhurandhar and recently spoke out about comparisons to Kareena Kapoor’s iconic song Dil Mera Muft Ka. The actress was surprised to see videos and social media reactions drawing parallels between her performance and Kareena’s legendary number from Agent Vinod.

During a recent Zoom interview, Krystle said, “Just being compared to an icon is unbelievable. I’m having ‘pinch me’ moments every day.”

She continued, “I mean, really, pinch me moments every day. So when I saw this, I was like, what? Are you serious?”

Krystle also shared that the comparison has been close to her heart for a long time, adding, “This is what my mom used to say—that I look like Kareena Kapoor. Did everyone hear my mom? I’m telling you, maa ki dua is always something that will come true.”

She further told the interviewer, “She literally says this every time she watches me on screen: ‘Mujhe lagta hai ki you have glimpses of Kareena Kapoor Khan.’ And I was like, me? I don’t see it. But if the world sees it and my mother sees it, then maybe it’s true.”

Krystle admitted that she never saw the similarity herself earlier but feels grateful and overwhelmed that audiences are noticing it now, making the success of Shararat even more memorable for her.

On the box office front, Dhurandhar is breaking records, now standing ahead of Yash’s KGF 2 in lifetime global collections.
