Miley Cyrus Calls the Word ‘Fiancé’ Cringey

Miley Cyrus, an American singer and songwriter, shared her feelings that the word “fiancé” made her cringe after disclosing her engagement to Maxx Morando.The moment surfaced during awards week and was not a planned announcement. Cyrus was backstage at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards, where she received the Outstanding Artistic Achievement honor that night.

Miley appeared comfortable talking about her recent life while speaking with Entertainment Tonight. The Last Song star mentioned that she has “lived” her life “in chapters.”

“It’s just like a whole new book,” Miley said. She also noted that “everyone and everything around you is different.”

Reacting to questions about her fiancé, musician Max, Miley said, “Oh, I get so cringed… I get so cringed out.” She added, “I’m kind of dorky with stuff like that.”

Interestingly, Miley and Max’s relationship went public in late 2021, and she feels that now is the perfect time in her life to call it an engagement.

“To be able to show up joyful and experience love in my own way is just perfectly aligned,” she stated.

She also explained why the term feels uncomfortable for her, saying her family is “cozy, down-to-earth people.” She prefers a home life without stage energy, adding, “When it’s at home, we want no performance. We want to keep it real.”

For now, Miley Cyrus’s engagement to Maxx Morando remains low-key and private.
