For the First Time, Sreeleela Talks About Adopting Three Children

The American actress of Indian origin who primarily works in Telugu cinema Sreeleela, popular for her amazing performances and dancing, is not as widely known for her role as a mother, but the fact is that she has adopted three children.

The 24-year-old actor gave an interview to Galatta Plus, in which she spoke about her adoption for the first time, after previously sharing only sporadic pictures and videos of her little ones on social media.

Sreeleela was asked how she balances her demanding career and motherhood with three kids. She initially downplayed the question, saying that the good deeds of public figures often get “exaggerated” and that she usually keeps that side of her life private.

She revealed that although her children don’t live with her, they are being well cared for, and she wishes they could stay with her.

Her words: “I am left speechless and my heart is racing when I mention it. But it is managed,” she remarked, adding, “I am not a real mother since that would be an entirely different story.”

Finally opening up about the adoption of her children, Sreeleela said: “It was a film (Kiss in 2019) I did early in my career in Kannada that led my director to take me to an ashram. The kids live there. We speak on the phone, and I keep visiting them. It was a secret for the longest time. The institution wanted me to talk about it so that more people are encouraged. I don’t want to be given credit for anything, but I want people to start looking in that direction.”
