Justin and Hailey Bieber Take Legal Action Against TikToker Julie Over ‘Abusive Marriage’ Claims

Recently, their marriage came under controversy when TikToker Julie Theis posted content claiming that the couple’s relationship was abusive, linking it to alleged drug issues. In response, TMZ reports that the Biebers’ attorney issued a cease and desist letter to Theis, describing her claims as “fabricated, outrageous, false and defamatory” and demanding the removal of her videos. The letter also instructed Theis to refrain from sharing further statements regarding the couple. According to the attorney, Theis’s posts were “highly damaging” and misrepresented the couple’s private life.

Julie Theis, meanwhile, defended her posts, claiming they were “opinion-based commentary about relationship dynamics and power” and not defamatory. Speaking to TMZ, she said, “It’s extremely elitist to try to silence opinions just because you disagree. Disagreement is not defamation.” The TikToker argued that the Biebers were attempting to restrict her freedom of expression.

Justin and Hailey’s relationship has been a longstanding topic of public interest. They met in 2009 backstage at the Today Show, introduced by Hailey’s father Stephen Baldwin, and eventually began dating.
