Neil Nitin Mukesh’s First Debut in Malayalam Cinema

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh celebrated his 44th birthday with a major announcement about his debut in Malayalam cinema.Prithviraj Sukumaran welcomed Neil Nitin Mukesh into Malayalam cinema as Vysakh’s two-part action saga continues to expand in scale.

Neil Nitin Mukesh is making his Malayalam debut with Khalifa, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. Sharing a poster featuring Neil’s character, Prithviraj wished him on his birthday and welcomed him to Malayalam cinema. Neil stated that he is proud to make his entry into Malayalam cinema with this film.

As reported earlier, the film is directed by Vysakh, with a screenplay by Jinu V Abraham. Mohanlal also appears in the first part in a cameo role. His character, Mambarakkal Ahmed Ali, will have a more prominent role in the second part, which will also feature Prithviraj.

About Khalifa:
Prithviraj plays a gold smuggler named Aamir Ali, who oversees his family business and follows in the footsteps of his grandfather. Neil Nitin Mukesh’s role has not yet been revealed by the makers; however, his casting announcement captioned “Going for Gold” hints at his character’s involvement in the business. Notably, the outfit worn by the actor in the poster is gold in color, indicating a strong connection to the storyline. “Vengeance will be written in gold” is the film’s tagline.

The project was first announced in 2022 and officially went on floors in 2025. With its large scale and expanded cast, Khalifa is scheduled for an Onam 2026 release.
