Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: Akshaye Khanna Is Back

Actor Akshaye Khanna, known for portraying Rehman Dakait in Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, is set to reprise his antagonist role in the sequel, Dhurandhar 2. According to sources, Akshaye Khanna will once again be seen as Rehman Dakait in the film, directed by Aditya Dhar.

The Pakistani gangster Rehman Dakait, played by the seasoned 50-year-old actor, left a strong impact on audiences and even overshadowed the protagonist Hamza, portrayed by Ranveer Singh.

Akshaye is now expected to return to the sets for a brief one-week shoot, aimed at expanding his character’s backstory and adding more depth to his role in the next chapter of the franchise, as reported by Filmfare.

Dhurandhar was a massive commercial success, emerging as the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide with earnings of ₹1,296 crore.

Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on 19 March 2026. With the sequel locked and selective additions underway, the spy universe is gearing up to build on the momentum created by the first film’s record-breaking run.
