Taylor Swift’s Texts With Blake Lively Revealed in Justin Baldoni Case: Key Details Uncovered
The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has taken a new turn, with pop superstar Taylor Swift reportedly dragged into the case. According to court documents, texts exchanged between Taylor and Blake have been unsealed, shedding light on their involvement in the matter.
The text messages were part of filings submitted in New York federal court as part of Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit against Blake over the film It Ends With Us. Blake Lively had accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, retaliation, and creating a hostile work environment during production. Justin, in turn, filed a countersuit claiming defamation and extortion. Taylor Swift, a close friend of Blake, was revealed to have been in discussions regarding the controversy.
The documents show that Taylor was aware of the December 2024 New York Times article on Baldoni, texting Blake, “I think this b**** (Justin Baldoni) knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.” The message coincides with lyrics from Swift’s song CANCELLED!: “Were you too smug for your own good? Or bring a tiny violin to a knife fight? Baby, that all ends tonight.”
Further, Blake reportedly sought Taylor’s support on a proposed script rewrite for the film. Taylor responded, “I’ll do anything for you!!” and even met with Justin Baldoni at Blake’s apartment to convince him to direct the revised draft. Blake later told Taylor, “You were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan (Reynolds).”
While Taylor’s team maintains she was not actively involved in the Baldoni dispute, the messages suggest ongoing discussions between the two friends regarding the situation. The documents also reveal that Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, sought endorsements from Hollywood stars like Matt and Lucy Damon to support Blake’s version of the film.
As the legal feud continues, Taylor Swift’s unsealed texts may influence public perception, even if they do not directly alter the court proceedings.
