Alina Amir Viral Video Claims Are Fake, Experts Warn of Malware Scam

24 January, 2026 16:53

January 24, 2026: Claims about a “leaked private video” of Pakistani influencer Alina Amir spreading on X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Telegram are false, cybersecurity experts have warned.

According to digital security analysts, the links being shared are part of a coordinated cyber scam designed to trick users into clicking harmful websites. These links do not contain any real video. Instead, they redirect users to malware, phishing pages, or illegal betting platforms.

Who Is Alina Amir?

Alina Amir is a popular Pakistani social media influencer with millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram. She rose to fame in 2025 after a viral lip-sync video using a famous Bollywood dialogue by actress Parineeti Chopra.

Because of her popularity, scammers are now using her name to attract clicks. Experts say cybercriminals often target trending public figures to make fake content look believable.

What Is the Alina Amir Viral Video Scam?

Security researchers say this is a case of SEO poisoning, a technique used to manipulate search results.

Scammers upload fake files containing keywords like Alina Amir viral video and leaked link on trusted platforms such as university or government websites. These sites usually end with .edu or .gov, which makes them appear safe in Google search results.

When users click these links, they are redirected to harmful websites that can steal personal data or install viruses on their devices.

Not the First Case in South Asia

This type of scam has already targeted several influencers across South Asia. Similar fake viral campaigns were previously linked to Bangladeshi and Indian content creators, where users ended up losing access to accounts or financial information.

Cyber experts say this is now a common pattern. Viral names are being used as digital bait to spread malware.

No Real Video Exists

Authorities and media sources have confirmed that there is no verified leaked video of Alina Amir. No credible platform has published or confirmed such content.

Experts stress that the only real thing going viral is the scam itself. Users are advised to avoid clicking unknown links, especially those shared on Telegram or found through suspicious Google results.
