Ahmed Ali Butt slams Javed Akhtar’s Statement Against Pakistan

Ahmed Ali Butt, a Pakistani singer and host, has given a number of hit television shows like Gentleman and Jhooti, as well as films such as JPNA 1 & 2 and Punjab Nahi Jaungi. He now hosts podcasts where he openly expresses his opinions on domestic and foreign affairs, including contentious characters in the entertainment industry.

Recently, a well-known Indian artist, Javed Akhtar, made a statement about Pakistani hospitality, and Ahmed Ali Butt responded unpleasantly, calling him a “stigma on art” in his recent podcast episode.

Ahmed Ali Butt criticized Javed Akhtar, expressing disappointment over his remarks and stating that he feels pity for both him and those who support him.

“Another Indian artist who has fallen from grace is Javed Akhtar. We showed him respect, yet he spoke against Pakistan,” Butt said. “I have come to the conclusion that you can’t expect respect from some people, and they don’t deserve ours. It’s like an Urdu saying: ‘Kuttay ko kheer hazam nahi hoti’—a dog cannot digest sweet pudding. Similarly, he doesn’t deserve our respect.”

Furthermore, the actor said that the disrespect displayed by Akhtar merited being trolled and publicly condemned, even though he normally maintains his composure.
