Pinay ‘Gold Medalist’ Zyan Cabrera Video Claim vs Vera Hill ‘ChiChi’ Call Leak Scam

Pinay 'Gold Medalist' Zyan Cabrera Video Claim vs Vera Hill 'ChiChi' Call Leak Scam
Two major viral video scandals have taken over social media in the Philippines this week. One involves the so-called “Pinay Gold Medalist” Zyan Cabrera, also known as Jerriel Cry4zee. The other involves Siargao-based content creator Vera Hill, also known as “ChiChi”.
At first, these cases seem different. They involve different people and different stories. However, cybersecurity experts say both are actually similar online scams. These are called “Ghost File” scams. Their goal is to use trending searches to trick people, but they use different methods to attract attention.
‘Gold Medalist’ Zyan Cabrera: The “Event Hijacker”
In this case, scammers used news hijacking. They timed the scam around the 2026 Winter Olympics. By calling Zyan Cabrera a “Bold Gold Medalist,” they tried to confuse search engines like Google and social media platforms like Facebook. When people searched for real Olympic updates, they were shown links to a fake “leaked video” of a gold medalist.
The main bait was a rumored “Boyfriend Video.” Scammers claimed that a private video with her boyfriend had been leaked. This combined two things that attract attention: sports fame and a bold video scandal.
The truth is simple. Zyan is not an Olympian, and the “Gold Medalist” label was only used to gain clicks and attention online.
Vera Hill (ChiChi): The “Keyword Trap”
The second case used a different method called SEO poisoning. Instead of linking the scam to a big global event, hackers focused on search engine manipulation. They posted thousands of low-quality blog posts using keywords like “ChiChi Vera Hill Viral” and “ChiChi Video Call.”
The bait was called “The Siargao Leak.” Scammers created fake pages that looked like video players. When fans searched for “ChiChi viral,” these fake links appeared at the top of search results, pushing real news down.
The truth is that no such video exists. The so-called “leak” only redirects users to adult dating or advertising websites.
Head-to-Head: The “Pinay Viral Video” Scam Wars
In the Zyan Cabrera case, scammers targeted a Filipina content creator by linking her name to the Winter Olympics 2026. The story claimed a “Gold Medalist caught in scandal,” and the bait was a “Boyfriend Video.” The trap mainly involved social media phishing, which can steal Facebook login details. There is no real video.
In the Vera Hill case, scammers targeted a Filipina creator from Siargao. They used keyword stuffing with her nickname “ChiChi” and promoted a fake “Video Call Clip.” The story claimed a private tape was leaked. The trap involved SEO poisoning, malware, and ads. There is also no real video in this case.
LatestLY has analysed that whether someone searches for the “Pinay Gold Medalist Bold Video” or the “ChiChi Viral Video Call,” both lead to the same kind of trap. The Zyan Cabrera scam shows that hackers follow major events like the Olympics to create fake stories. The Vera Hill scam shows that they also manipulate search engines to target specific fan groups.
