Timothée Chalamet Admits to Humbling Moment with Past Co-Star

Timothée Chalamet recently reveal about his humbling and uncomfortable encounter with a past costar.

The Wonka actor revealed that a mystery colleague on one of his past projects belittled his acting skills while the two were working together, seemingly due to his level of training.

“No names, but the guy was a punk,” Timothée told Matthew McConaughey in a conversation published by Variety Feb. 21. “He asked me what conservatory I had gone to, and I said I didn’t go to an acting conservatory. And he said, ‘Well, you haven’t trained as an actor then.’ And we were all part of an ensemble.”

Interestingly, the Marty Supreme actor mentioned that he now started ignoring “unsolicited career advice”.

Chalamet explained, “I always said, ‘Beware of the people in life that get more of the advice they give you than you get at the advice,’”.

While Timothée, 30, didn’t reveal the identity of the costar in question, he did clarify that Matthew—with whom he shared the screen in 2014’s Interstellar—did not take a similar approach.
