Badshah Apologizes and Deletes Controversial Song ‘Ttiteri’ After Public Backlash
Bollywood singer and rapper Badshah has issued a public apology and removed his controversial song following widespread criticism.
The Haryanvi-language track, ‘Ttiteri’, sparked outrage due to its lyrics and video, leading residents of Panchkula in Haryana to file a legal complaint.
Addressing the controversy on Instagram, Badshah said, “My new song Ttiteri had hurt the sentiments of many people, particularly those from my home state of Haryana, because of its lyrics and filming.”
He emphasized his roots, stating that those who know him are aware he belongs to Haryana and that “my lifestyle, food and daily habits all reflect Haryanvi culture.” Badshah added that he would never intend to make inappropriate remarks about any child or woman.
The singer further highlighted his commitment to promoting Haryanvi culture and language, saying, “If anyone has been hurt because of my song, I apologise,” and expressed hope that people would forgive him as a son of Haryana.
In his post caption, Badshah confirmed that he was removing ‘Ttiteri’ from all platforms to prevent further offense.
