FIA Arrests Stage Actress Deedar’s Husband Jahanzeb in Alleged Human Trafficking, Overseas Job Scam

Monday, March 16, 2026: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Jahanzeb, the husband of stage actress Deedar, in connection with an alleged human trafficking and overseas job recruitment scam, officials confirmed.

The arrest took place during a joint operation carried out by FIA teams from Islamabad and Lahore, led by Inspector Abdullah Kiani. Sources reported that the raid faced strong resistance from eight guards who tried to prevent the arrest. Assistance from the Punjab Police was called in to ensure the operation’s success.

Jahanzeb was eventually apprehended and transferred from Lahore to Islamabad for further questioning and investigation.

According to the FIA, Jahanzeb was wanted in the Islamabad zone and is accused of defrauding thousands of people by promising overseas employment opportunities. Investigators revealed that he had previously operated an office in Sector G-11, Islamabad, and after fleeing the capital, allegedly continued similar activities in Lahore.

Sources also claim that stage actress Deedar may have been involved in the operation alongside her husband, though authorities are continuing their investigation to confirm her role.

Officials said the inquiry is ongoing and significant revelations are expected in the coming days. Some citizens have reportedly submitted petitions to the Army Chief, demanding action against those involved in the scam.

The FIA has urged the public to remain cautious and verify overseas job offers from legitimate sources to avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes.
