Elderly Woman Confronts Influencer Over Short Clothes in Bengaluru; Viral Video Later Deleted

In Bengaluru, social media influencer Shriyanshi was briefly confronted on the streets by an elderly woman who commented on her choice of clothing. The interaction was captured on video, shared online, and later deleted after going viral and attracting widespread attention.

In the clip, the woman urged the influencer to dress “appropriately,” saying, “I’m not telling anything wrong. Don’t feel bad. Wear pant and shirt, that’s okay. But not like this.” She added that girls look better when wearing chudidar or pants, expressing her preference for more traditional or covered attire.

At the time of filming, Shriyanshi was wearing a white top paired with black shorts and funky heels. The elderly woman publicly disapproved of her outfit, emphasizing that covered or traditional clothing is more suitable for women.

The video quickly circulated online, garnering over 1.4 million views on Instagram. It sparked a heated debate among netizens, with some condemning the woman’s remarks as “moral policing” and others supporting her viewpoint. Shortly after the clip gained widespread attention, Shriyanshi chose to remove it from her account.
