Demi Lovato's Reason Why She Sang “Heart Attack” At AHA Event
Demi Lovato explain the reason behind the ‘Heart Attack song performance at American Heart Association Event.
Demi Lovato was one of the performers at the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert, back in 2024. Where Lovato sang her hit song ‘Heart Attack’.
Meanwhile, the song decision went viral, and the reason is so obvious, because that concert or event was dedicated to raising awareness about cardiovascular diseases, including heart attacks.
When this went viral, Demi faces backlash surrounding her performance of Heart Attack, a representative for Lovato explains via email, to Entertainment Weekly that:
“She spoke on the mind-heart connection. It was a sensitive moment intended to champion the women in the room — the very reason why Demi was at the event.”
“She did open with a beautiful intro on why she chose the song and addressed the room, talking about the mind and heart connection. It was actually a beautiful moment.”
Recently, On Thursday morning (March 19), Demi’s interview with Z100 hosted by Elvis Duran asked about actual reason behind this song decision.
Demi clarified: “I wanna say they asked me to sing that. Because I flagged it beforehand and was like, ‘Ummm…Isn’t this not the vibe?’ They were like, ‘No, they wanna hear it.’ I was like, ‘Okay?’ And then of course people online are like, ‘Why did she sing that?’”
“Y’all, it wasn’t me! I flagged it!” she said.
Lovato has now made it clear that while she understood the reaction the decision ultimately wasn’t hers.
