At first, Nora Fatehi responded to the controversy. She said that the obscene Hindi version of the song was released without her permission, trying to clarify her position.
Later, a fatwa was issued against the song by the Darul Ifta in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The decision came from a senior religious scholar linked to the Muslim Personal Darul Ifta.
The scholar declared the song’s content as forbidden (haram) and said it goes against Islamic teachings. He also described the scenes as vulgar and called for strict action against such content.
The issue continues to spark debate, with people sharing different opinions about freedom of expression and cultural values.
