Reflecting on his survival, Odom shared:
“When I woke up, the doctors told me I’d probably never walk and talk again. So, us having this conversation is a win. All of my doctors say I’m like a walking miracle because it’s, like, medically impossible for somebody to survive 12 strokes and six heart attacks while in a coma. And so I just take it day by day, and I’m more than grateful for life.”

Odom has had a long and difficult battle with substance abuse. Over the years, he faced multiple legal and personal setbacks linked to addiction. Earlier in 2026, he was reportedly arrested in Las Vegas over driving violations, raising renewed concerns due to his past struggles.
