Javeria Saud Faces Backlash Over Wrong Photo of Yumna Zaidi

Javeria Saud is under-fire over using a wrong photo linked with Yumna Zaidi during the Eid special show on Express TV.

The debate started after Javeria’s remark about Yumna Zaidi, and her comment went viral on social media. where Saud was seen asking guests to identify Yumna Zaidi through an image she described as belonging to an actor who had worked for many years but found major stardom only recently.

After that the guests predict Javeria must be talks about Yumna Zaidi,  instantly, Yumna Zaidi denied that the picture belongs to her.

The denial moved attention to an image itself and raised questions about how it had been used on air.

The issue intensified after the father of the girl in the picture, Abdul Fahid Hamid, approach a Pakistani drama page and shared his account of what happened. He said the picture belonged to his daughter, Faryal Hamid, and had been taken from his wife’s public social media account without the family’s permission.

According to him, My daughter’s name is Faryal Hamid. Her picture was used on the show to mock and disrespect Yumna Zaidi. The host Javeria and the guest showed my daughter’s picture, which was not Yumna’s childhood photo—it was actually Faryal’s, who is my daughter. A mistaken, fake, and stolen identity was used, resulting in defamation of character. This is a serious matter. It also raises concerns regarding sensitive safeguarding, which I have brought up. Legal action will be taken from our side.”

The statement has generated sturdy reaction online, with many users backup the family’s decision to speak out. Social media posts reacting to the controversy have also called for action against television hosts intricate in the segment.
