Speaking about his wife’s illness, the young man Shabeer said, “It was the only way to save her life—to donate my liver to her. I went to Dr. Affan Qaiser’s Liver Tower in Multan, and he told me that her liver had failed: either she would die, or she needed a liver transplant. I decided on the spot to save her. It was a surgery that no one could easily imagine—16 hours long, with half of my liver being transplanted into her—but I was determined to fight for her. Alhamdulillah, the operation was a success”
