Vijay’s Big-Budget Film 'Jana Nayagan’ Leak Sparks Outrage
Vijay Tamil superstar’s final film Jana Nayangan has been leaked online, a five-minute sequence from the movie has leaked online on Thursday, and small clips from the film were shared on social media, and by Friday morning, HD prints of the full film were uploaded to piracy sites have caused immense shock among both Vijay’s fans and the production team. The leaked footage, totalling five minutes and including the introductory scene, features TVK leader Vijay and comes from a film that had previously been postponed due to issues with the Censor Board.
The unreleased film has yet to receive CBFC clearance and has been in limbo for three months. The leak, which comes just before Vijay’s entry into politics with the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, has rattled the Tamil film industry.
Fans of Vijay and industry insiders have reacted with anger to the leak. Amutha Bharathi, a cinema influencer, wrote on X, “A 400-500Crs film just got leaked overnight!! Toughest time for the Producer, distributor and the whole team. They should have been more cautious, as the film has gone into already serious troubles. Now the only & better way is to release JanaNayagan ASAP in the Theatres, if they got censor certificate.”

In an intermittent twist, a known piracy site, TamilMV, said it would not upload the film.
The site posted: “We are aware of the ongoing political issues surrounding the actor. As per our ethics, we only upload content after the movie’s theatrical release. The movie will not be uploaded here before its official release.”
The clip quickly circulates on several platforms, and fans took to social media to tag the production house KVN Productions and mandate severe action against those accountable for the leak.
One fan wrote, “This farewell feels completely ruined, seeing him end his career like this is one of the worst things to watch.” Another commented, “Nanba and Nanbis don’t share leaked Clips.”
One user warned, “Anyone who is resharing will be booked and arrested. Do not share. Strength to the team!!.”
One comment read, “Feeling sad for the producers and Vijay ! .. but if you ask me, the movie is an exact copy of Bhagavanth Kesari. Bro even copied the dialogue ‘I Don’t Care exactly.”
Another user simply said, “Please don’t anyone download and try it.”
The film’s quandaries began prior this year when the Central Board of Film Certification delayed its consent over scenes that could “hurt sentiments”.
The movie maker even stimulated the Madras High Court, but later removed the case and referred the film to a reviewing team.
