Celebrities Support Punjab Film City Project by CM Maryam Nawaz

Chief Minister of Punjab recently announced a plan to establish a 50-acre, state of the art Film City in Lahore, intended to enhance media and entertainment production across Pakistan.

In the response of announcement, two well-known leading Pakistani actors Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa applaud and show support for this commendable project, viewing it as a major boost for the film industry’s revival.

Fahad Mustafa spoke in favor of the announcement, calling it a “visionary step” for the future of creativity in Pakistan.

He wrote on Instagram, “A truly visionary step for Pakistan’s creative futureHeartfelt appreciation to Maryam Nawaz for initiating the incredible concept of Punjab Film City in Lahore – a project that has the power to redefine the film and media fraternity in our country,”

Humayun Saeed also address this announcement, and expressed it as a ‘much needed’ step

Humayun Saeed described the initiative as a “much-needed” move, expressing appreciation for the government’s attention or investing and resources in the film sector.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Main Manto Nahi Hun actor wrote, ‘A much needed, great step in the right direction. Appreciation for Maryam Nawaz for paying attention to and diverting resources toward reviving the former glory of cinema.’

As confirmed by official sources , the Film City project will include world-class studios and sound stages, advanced visual effects (VFX) and post-production laboratories, diverse backlots featuring a central lake, and a purpose-built convention hall for hosting international award shows. A media trade hub, as well as film and music schools, will also be part of the initiative.
