Amanda Hirsch Admits Mistake Over Lindsay Clancy Trial Brand Partnership

The founder of “Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast Amanda Hirsch publicly apologies after facing backlash for using the Lindsay Clancy trial in a branded advertisement on her show.

The podcaster star took her Instagram to submit her apology on Sunday, August 6.

The influencer’s post comment section is banned and she wrote, “Posting about the Lindsay Clancy trial in the same breath as a brand partnership was completely insensitive, wrong, and out of character for me — I should have known better, and I feel sick that I didn’t see that in the moment,”

She further added, “As a mom, this case has really affected me,” she acknowledged. “I’ve been following it so closely, talking about it constantly, and feeling heartbroken over every part of it.”

Amanda plead guilty that she was so held up in the trial that she failed to uphold a sense of viewpoint and “didn’t stop to think about how grossly inappropriate it was to discuss something this tragic in that context.”

“I made a terrible judgment call and I feel so f—ing awful about that. I know deleting it doesn’t erase it,” she admitted. “Believe me, I’m horrified by the choice I made, and please know this lapse in judgment does not represent who I am as a person. I am so deeply sorry.”

The dispute highlights the trials public figures can face when debating current or emotionally charged legal cases, mainly when commercial content is involved. For Hirsch, the criticism encouraged her to openly admit her blunder and take responsibility for the verdict.

Although Hirsch’s apology does not remove the original post or what happened, she has taken responsibility for her actions. As her statement made it clear that the celebrity recognizes the concerns surrounding the use of the trial discussion alongside advertising. Meanwhile she has make an apology, expressed guilt and promised to take the experience as a lesson.
