Pakistani Cultural Shows to Begin in Saudi Arabia on October 29

Pakistani cultural activities will kick off in Saudi Arabia on October 29, with a series of shows scheduled in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah.

Pakban Chairman Imran Siddiqui announced the programme while speaking at a press conference in Lahore on Monday.

He said singer Zeeshan Rokhri and vocalist Humaira Arshad would travel to Saudi Arabia as part of the first phase. The opening cultural show will take place in Dammam on October 29, followed by performances in Riyadh on October 30 and Jeddah on November 5.

Siddiqui said Pakistani singers and artists would continue visiting Saudi Arabia every two to three months under a joint initiative by Pakban and Glory Events.

Former cricketer Abdul Razzaq welcomed the initiative, saying such events would help present a positive image of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia and around the world. He added that Pakistani celebrities could play an important role in promoting the country’s culture internationally.

Humaira Arshad said she had a strong spiritual connection with Saudi Arabia and had previously performed Umrah there. She said this would be her first performance in the country.

The singer added that Pakistani artists would entertain Saudi audiences, especially those who were unable to travel to Pakistan to watch them perform.

Glory Events CEO Akif Ansari said the initiative had created new opportunities for Pakistani artists in Saudi Arabia. He assured that artists from Pakistan would be invited without discrimination and that there would be no favouritism.

Singer Goshi Khan, vocalist Hira, TikToker Sid Raper and Iftikhar Afi also addressed the press conference.

The event concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Pakban and Glory Event and PR, formally establishing their cooperation to promote Pakistani cultural activities in Saudi Arabia.
