Three Pakistani Films Win Multiple Awards at MISAFF 2026
Mosaic International South Asian Film Festivals (MISAFF 2026) honored three Pakistani films across different categories, marking a proud moment for Pakistan.
One of the major winners at the festival is Sarmad’s Khossat’s “Lali” which securing three awards. The film received the Special Jury Prize, while Farazeh Syed won Best Supporting Actress. Lali also picked up the award for Best Sound Design.
Another Pakistani film, Mo Naqvi’s documentary Hanging By A Wire, was honored with the Sabeen Mahmud Award for Courage in Cinema in the documentary category.
Meanwhile, Kamran Faiq’s The Last Glance won Best International Short Film, adding another achievement for Pakistani cinema at the festival.
The event also celebrated films from across South Asia. Nepal’s Elephants in the Fog received three awards, including Best Feature, Best Director and Best Editing.
Bangladesh’s Roid also earned recognition, winning Best Cinematography and Best Music. Naseeruddin Shah was pleased with the Best Performer award for his role in India’s Rehmat.
The accomplishment of the three Pakistani films at MISAFF 2026 shows the increasing gratitude for Pakistani cinema and talent worldwide. These attainments also presents the multiplicity of stories and inspired talent developing from Pakistan.
