EU signs deal to provide assistance to improve macro fiscal policies.

Pakistan and European Union have formally signed an agreement worth Euros 13 million for public financial management.

Secretary Economic Affairs Division Syed Pervaiz Abbas and EU Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara singed the agreement.

The signing ecermony event held in Islamabad today.

Under the agreement, European Union will provide assistance to bring improvement in macro fiscal policies.

Moreover, EU would assist in improvement of process of budget preparation and forecasting.

While speaking on the occasion, Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar expressed committment of the government.

He said that PTI govt remains committed to ensure equal economic and social progress in the country.

The minister also assured broadening of the scope of public financial support to Sindh, Balochistan and at federal level.
