Federal government to challenge Shahrukh Jatoi’s acquittal

The federal government has decided to challenge the acquittal of prime suspect Shahrukh Jatoi and others involved in Shahzeb Khan murder case.

As per latest reports, the federal government has decided to challenge the Supreme Court’s decision of acquitting Shahrukh Jatoi along with the others involved in the murder case.

For an immediate action federal government ordered the Attorney General to prepare the draft of the review petition.

In a statement, Attorney General said that a petition would be filed with the Supreme Court to reconsider its verdict.

There were the provision of terrorism in the murder case, the AGP’s office said adding that in the decision of Jatoi’s acquittal, the Supreme Court’s conclusion deviates from the judicial decisions related to the crime of terrorism.

Therefore, the case should be reviewed in view of the components of compromise, fasad-fil-arz (mischief on earth), and other matters.
