Fire turned Peshawar’s Saddar Mobile Market in ashes
Peshawars’ saddar mobile phone market catches fire midnight which completely destroyed the market place.
Peshawar’s Time Center Plaza (mobile market) fire quickly erupted and spread to the entire structure, creating panic among the shopkeepers and customers.
The fire completely destroyed 200 shops of the building, fire spread forced authorities to evacuate the residents from the nearby houses.
The cause of the fire is still unknown , mobile phone batteries, UPS and other flammable items, resulting in explosions and multiplying the intensity of fire.
Market traders suffered huge losses to the tune of millions of rupees while some sustained burns trying to remove the stock from burning shops.
The Rescue 1122 teams rescued four people, who were trapped inside the mobile market after the fire. So far, no loss of life reported from the incident.
More than 30 fire brigade vehicles and four water bowsers are taking part in the rescue operation. The fire is declared third-stage and being doused by the teams of the Pakistan Army, Air Force and Cantonment Board.
The district administration has ordered an inquiry into the incident and assured the affected parties that they will be provided relief and assistance.
