Former interim minister Sarfraz Bugti joined PPP

Former caretaker interior minister Sarfraz Bugti joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in a party workers convention in Turbat today.

Sarfraz Bugti thanked PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari for inviting him to join the the party. “It is a matter of honour for me that I [am] joining the PPP from the land which has given many sacrifices for Pakistan’s democracy and integrity”, Bugti stated in the ceremony.

Addressing the convention, the former minister said :“It is an honour to join the PPP. We are going to defeat the nationalistic politics which we are starting from Turbat”.

Bugti requested Asif  Zardari :“I request that you promise us that you will build a hospital in Turbat just like the one you built in Sukkur”.He further said that out of Pakistan’s entire political leadership, only Zardari had followed through on his promises.

On Dec 13, Sarfaraz Bugti resigned from interior ministry for contesting February 8, 2024 general elections. He became Senator on Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) ticket and will serve till 2027.
